I actually have to disagree. I am dork, and I know that. I can laugh at myself, and I do sometimes. I like science fiction, and I actually play DnD. I make references I know no one gets, I know I am weird. However if I laugh at Homer Simson for being a stupid drunk who I in no way relate to I think it would be hypocritical of me not to laugh at Lisa, an overly intelligent young girl. I don’t think there should be anything we can not laugh at because we relate to the thing we’re suppose to be laughing. I think we can not claim that nerds are to special to be made fun of, by the same tokens we can not say no to the humor making fun of the “dumb jock”. I have a suggestion for you, try laughing at yourself.
